It is that time again!
Today I am over at Furniture.com’s blog showing everyone how I made these super simple photo frames from scrap wood.
I am all about simple projects that anyone can do at home and these excite me. A lot!
Growing up I was always around crafty people. My mom was always building things and showing me how to craft. Wait, who am I kidding. That is not true at all.
Truthfully, my family is always questioning where my artsy skills came from because the crafting skill eludes just about everyone in my family. But, my aunt married a pretty hands on guy. But, my aunt married a pretty hands on guy.
My uncle has his own woodshop that he built. I get so excited to visit them. Walking into the woodshop gets my creative juices flowing and I just want to turn on every tool and make something.
When I was a teenager my uncle made these cute step stools for everyone in our huge family.
Recently a few cousins had some babies so he was building some more. He had a box of scrap wood that was left over from the cuts and of course I loaded them into my car before he could change his mind.
I got a hack saw, some paint and got to work. Hop on over to Furniture.com to see the simple step by step tutorial on how you can create these cute photo frames for your house today. Do you know anyone that is a woodworker? I encourage you to ask them for their scraps! You can always find a project for small bits of wood and the fact that it will most likely be free wood..well that is just an added bonus!
Happy woodworking friends.
